A first phalarope logger!

 

Just a short note to let you know that today, we retreived the first geolocator of a Red-necked Phalarope!

We also captured a Long-tailed Skua that had been carrying its geolocator for nearly three years… but she lost it somewhere during last week. The logger can still be seen on a picture of the bird taken on 2 June… @#$$@#$@%$%!!! It has a new one now. I hope she will be more careful with this one…

    Congrats Rob for that first Phalarope logger..!!! I am looking forward to knowing where has spent the winter. Are phalaropes already on eggs?

    arrgghh, cruiy, but cool that you get some loggers back. It sounds as you have fun finding and trapping the birds!
